Olympic games are held in different nations every four years. The games are divided into two parts: summer olympic games and winter Olympic games.

 The first edition of The modern Olympic Games was held in Athens in 1896. Pierre de Coubertin was the founder of the modern Olympic Games. He was a French Baron. He found the international Olympic committee in 1894. Initially, the Olympic Committee was headquartered in Paris. Now headquartered in Switzerland.

 Olympic games was held form 23 July,2021 to 8 August 2021 at Tokyo in Japan. The 2020 Games were the fourth Olympic Games to be  in Japan. The games will see a participation of a total of 127 Indian athletes, including two alternate players and one reserve goalkeeper in the men’s and women’s hockey squad respectively.
 

India in Olympics 2016

In the 2016 Rio Olympics, 117 Indian athletes participated (63 men and 54 women) across 15 sports. The Indian roster featured three Olympic medalists from London, including badminton star Saina Nehwal, freestyle wrestler and four-time Olympian Yogeshwar Dutt, and rifle shooter Gagan Narang.

 How many indian players qualified for Olympic 2021

The game will see participants  from 18 sports. Indian Athletes lists. Tokyo Olympic slated to begin July 23. The total size of the contingent, including the coaches, support staff and officials, counts to 228.
