Report on Fire Accident in My Neighbourhood

Date: 13th September, 2025
Place: [Your Neighbourhood Name]

On the evening of 12th September 2025, at around 8:30 p.m., a massive fire broke out in a two-storey house in my neighbourhood. I was present at the spot and witnessed the incident.

The fire started in the kitchen due to an apparent short circuit. Within minutes, thick smoke and flames spread to the adjoining rooms. The family members raised an alarm, and neighbours, including myself, rushed to the site. We immediately tried to put out the fire with buckets of water and fire extinguishers, but the flames were too strong.

The fire brigade was informed and arrived after about 20 minutes. By that time, the upper floor was completely engulfed. Fortunately, all members of the family were rescued in time, though two of them suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation. They were taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.

The fire brigade worked tirelessly for more than an hour to bring the fire under control. The house, however, was badly damaged, and property worth several lakhs was destroyed. The police later confirmed that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.

The incident has left the neighbourhood in shock. It also reminded everyone of the importance of safety measures such as proper electrical wiring, keeping fire extinguishers at home, and maintaining awareness during emergencies.
