Ans :- The little boy passed through the way line by the toys shops. His eyes were arrested by the toys.


Q. 3 what was the overwhelming desire of the child when he saw the balloon?

Ans:- When the child saw balloons of yellow, red, green, and purple colour. He was carried away by the rainbow glory of their silken colours. His overwhelming desire was to have them all.


Q. 4 What did the child see the juggler doing? Did he stay there ? Why?

Ans:- The juggler was playing on a flute to a snake. It coiled itself in a basket. Its head raised like the neck of the swan. The child went towards the juggler. He did stay there because he knew that his parents has forbidden him to hear such a coarse music.


Q. 5 Describe how the child attracted by the roundabout and what was its result?

Ans :- The child saw a roundabout in full swing. Men, women and children were carried in a circular motion. The the child watched them intesly, going round and round. His finger was in his mouth. He felt he himself was being carried round. He made a bold request: "I want to go on the roundaboat, please, father, mother!" There was no reply. His parents had gone forward. He was left alone there.


Q. 6  Where did the child loss his parents? What did he do then?

 Describe the condition of the child when he had lost his parents?

Ans:- The child got separated from his parents in the fete, he looked in all directions in search of his parents. But there was no sign of them. He cried loudly and run suddenly for the parents. He run to one side first, then to the other. He ran towards the gate of the temple but his parents were not there. There was thick crowd. He ran through the feet of people but he could not find his parents.


Q. 7 how was he saved from being trampled under food and why whom?

Ans :- The child struggled to make a way between the feet of the people. He was knocked to and fro by their movements. He shrieked at the highest pitch of his voice: "Father, mother." A man heard his groan. He stooped with very great difficulty and lifted him up in his arms.


Q. 8 What did the man ask the child when he lifted him out of the crowd? What did the child reply?

Ans :- The man of the child how he got there and whose baby he was. The child wept more bitterly than ever now. He only cried, "I want my mother, I want my father!"


Q. 9 How did the man tried to soothe the child?

Ans :- The man took the child to the roundaboat, to the juggler, to the balloon-seller, to the follower seller and finally to the sweet-seller. The child did not like either of these things through he tried to get them before he lost his parents. He only sobbed, "I want my mother, I want my father!"


Q. 10 Why did the child lose interest in all the things he wanted to have earlier?

Ans:- The child lose interest in all the things he wanted to have earlier because he was separated from his parents who were much more dear to him then those things.

Q. What were the things the child was attracted to in the fair before getting lost?

Ans:- Before getting lost in the fair, the child was attracted to the toys, mustard field, dragon-flies, butterflies, a shower of young flowers, cooing of a dove, burfi, a garland of gulmohar, silken balloon, music of the flute and round about.
